I want to look for a veil sometime over the next few weeks...any recommendations on where to go in the city?

Hi Lauren,

Kleinfeld's and Wedding Atelier both have a gorgeous selection of veils but they were pricey. I fell in love in a veil I tried on at Kleinfeld's, but unfortunately it cost almost as much as my dress! A friend referred me to Robin of Boutique de Voile who did a custom veil for her wedding. She met with me, I described exactly what I wanted (elbow length, mantilla, chantilly lace with pearl and crystal accents), she showed me different fabric swatches and lace. It came out perfectly and much more reasonably priced! Check out her site, pm me if you want her email--good luck!

Bridal Veil Falls, on the LES. Also, check out Occansey Designs. The veils on their site are MUCH less expensive than those in stores, and they have a ton of good reviews. I ordered my veil from there and am waiting anxiously to get it :)

I just went to sposabella in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. They had a beautiful selection and was pretty reasonable. She makes everything os can alter pretty much anything.

Try Lynn Kiracofe, she creates custom veils that are incredibly beautiful! Mainly vintage inspired but can do anything. lynnkiracofe@yahoo.com

Ditto Occansey. I don't have time to go to too many stores and frankly, I think the cost charged for veils is ridiculous. Found exactly what I wanted and am excited to see my veil. Should get it within the next day or two, so will update it. Price was definitely worth the effort.
