Good idea! Thanks for sharing it. Wouldn't teasing the under layers also work and have the happy side effect of more body for fine or thin-haired girls?
I think it depends on the veil you get. i had one with with a plastic comb, and it held find with just teasing. But of course I got it done professionally, not sure how it would have worked if I did my own hair. The stylist showed my bridesmaid how to put it in and they had no problems.

Hi, Gang!
I know the hive has concerns about securing veils in short hair or in a down-do. I read online about the tiny rubber band trick, and I wanted to share it with all of you. It works!
Lift a section of hair from where you plan to wear your veil, then make 4 or 5 small pony tails with teeny tiny rubber bands underneath the section of hair you have lifted. When you put the lifted hair back down, you can't even tell the rubber bands are in there. Slide the comb through the area with the rubber bands. Your veil will now stay put.
I have short, baby-fine hair (and not tons of it), and this totally worked for my veil test this weekend.
Anybody else tried this? It's amazing!
