My wedding dress is a beautiful Berta Vintage Lace Wedding Dress Bateau Deep V Open Back Long Sleeve Chapel Train w/ Pearls. Took me forever to decide on a dress. Now I get to toy with the idea of ‘Am I wearing a viel?’ ‘ Am I not?’ If a viel what length, two tier or single tier. My dress is all lace, so I want something that doesn’t overwhelm the dress or look too “trashy” (like it doesn’t fit well). I also would like a veil that looks good with my hair down or up (thats another thing Im trying to figure out.) I couldn’t post a picture, so I apologize.

MissKatie88: It sounds like the back of your dress is definitely a focal point. I would suggest a Single Tier Chapel or Cathedral Length veil. Fingertip length is very popular but I am thinking since you have a deep V in the back, you don’t want the cut-off line of the veil to take away from the V. I would also suggest looking for an Illusion Tulle fabric for the veil, which is very light and sheer and will still allow the details of the lace and pearls to show through. I would also keep the veil very simple with no embroidery or lace, maybe some pearls along the edge but nothing to take away from your dress.
