So im 9 days out from the wedding and need to make some choices! I’ve seen a lot of veils pinned under hair recently instead of pinned above and covering the hair. Anyone have pics of what they did as I’m lost on what to do. Also did anyone wear the veil covering their face walking down the aisle?

Commenting to follow! I have the same confusion!

I don’t know why, but I really hate the veil under the hair look.

I think I like it pinned on top so it covers the hair, I think I’ll feel more “bride like” than if its just hanging below. I’m not sure about it covering my face though down the aisle :-/

I don’t have any pictures to share, but have given this topic some serious thought for myself too! I first typed that I like the veil under if it is a tight updo…however, when I went looking for a pic to attach, I changed my mind!! Apparently I like the over 🙂 When hair is half down or all down, absolutely over.
As far as wearing it over your face when you walk down….my fiance has asked me to not cover my face so that he can really see me when I walk down the aisle towards him, so I won’t be covering my face. I have seen it look really pretty though! 🙂

I had my veil over my hair (an updo). I don’t have anything against the veil being under but I preferred it over on me. Kind of like what Camgurl16 said, it felt more “Bridal” to me.
And this is what my hair looked like.

I had mine over so I could easily remove it, which I did as soon as the ceremony was done.

I did mine over my hair and took it off right after the ceremony.

We just chose my daughter’s last week and went with a veil under the updo, which she’ll remove for the reception, and a tiara-type comb headpiece in front that will remain on for the entire evening. I didn’t think I would like the veil under hair look, but compared to her preference (no veil at all) I love it!

I decided to wear mine over my updo and I wore it all night. I just liked the look of overtop better.

I really don’t like the veil under the hair look :/ I had my veil over my hair.

Mine was over the hair. I think under the hair looks weird (not trying to offend anyone)
ETA: I didn’t wear my veil over my face, even though it had two layers. No particular reason, just not my thing. That being said, I’ve seen some photos on here of bees who have and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Just depends on your preference.

@Camgurl16: I’ll post a pic tomorrow of me with the blusher. I’m on my phone and can’t post pics from here. I love the way it looks. Normally, people say that just putting the veil on made it bridal for them. Having the veil in front is what made it bridal for me. I just think it looks so beautiful and romantic. For the wedding, I’ll have a two-tiered veil covering my hair and the top tier will be over my face as I walk down the aisle.
