Veil vs. Mom…Need advice

Buy the veil you want – it’s your wedding, not your mother’s.

If you get it online you can likely get it for at least 1/2 off the price that you would pay at a bridal store anyway, so you can probably get both types if you want to experiment. I had a lace mantilla cathedral-length veil that was $1000 at the store and $85 when ordered from China. Bridal stores really gouge on accessories.

I’d wait then until you get your dress before trying to make a decision. If you ultimately don’t feel comfortable until doing so, wait. Besides, your wedding. Sure she is your mom, but she isn’t the one wearing it for the day.
