@cjfs: I'm wearing a 2-part dress that consists of an overdress with long lace sleeves, and a spaghetti-strap dress. I wanted the long sleeves partly because we're having a pretty traditional Catholic wedding, and also because I'm not a fan of strapless in general and preferred a little more coverage on my arms. I initially got an elbow-length veil, but I decided to go with a lace-edged cathedral veil instead, again because of the church setting.
For the reception I'm planning to remove the veil and replace it with a fascinator, and remove the overdress and just go with the spaghetti-strap dress. I thought about switching for a shorter veil, but then I found a fascinator I'm really excited about and decided to go that route. I don't have photos of the front of the gown with me wearing it, but here are a couple that will give you a general idea, and a sense of the veil:

Hi all,
I am thinking of using a dress with long sleeves or 3/4 sleeves in lace because i really don't like my arms! But I'm getting confused as to how the veil will look. I'd like a fingertip veil. Not longer as I'm 39 and it may look too much! Any opinions or brides which have used the same? If you have pictures it'd be great!
super thanks!
