I need some paper goods and DIY advice here!  I think we're going to go with wrap-around labels for our invitation mailing envelopes, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried this with vellum?  I would love to do a pale pink vellum label on white envelopes, but I'm worried about attaching the vellum to the envelope and not having the glue show through, since vellum is so transparent.  Do you have any suggestions for attaching the wrap-around labels if it's vellum?  Thanks.

Xyron machine is amazing, it applies adhesive to the whole thing so there wont be any spot without it to notice.  We used it for our wrap around labels, though they werent vellum

If you go to a craft store like Michaels, they have something like glue dots for vellum. It is much thinner, and is made to use for vellum projects. I haven't used it yet, but when I do my invites, I plan too.

If you do a google search, you will see them.

Thanks!  I'm not sure if I want to buy a Xyron since I don't know if I'll use it again and I am trying my hardest to keep wedding costs down wherever I can.  It sounds amazing though!  I will definitely look into the glue dots for vellum.

Has anyone tried printing on vellum before?  Does it come out ok?

I have an HP All in One inkjet printer and it printed on my vellum really good. I suggest doing a test sheet before you get fully into it.

A friend of mine did vellum wrap-arounds.  They looked great, but as a word of advice, the printer ink does tend to smear a bit in the mail, messing up how great of a job she did.

    Best of luck!!
