- Wedding: January 2014
Good Morning Bees,
I’ve been attempting to find a post that contains what information should be put in an email to a vendor when requesting a price quote, but have had no such luck 🙁 I too, like many of you am SWAMPED with my normal day to day. I work insanely long hours and to be quite honest I have no desire to go from venue to venue on my days off only to find that I dislike the place immensely or love the place and just can’t afford it. I think that is my biggest fear – that I would love the place, it would be over by budget and then I would feel horrific forever. That being said my hopes are that I could get at least a “guesstimate” as to what a PP $ amount would be on the venues that I feel fit in my vision of “my day”.
That being said….. can any of you advise me of what you put in your emails to vendors when requesting quotes? I have come up with the following:
The month(s) and day – I would want my wedding to take place
The time of day
The approximate number of guests
My wants regarding cocktail. dinner and bar
I ask what is included in this fee (tables, linens, chairs etc.)
What am I missing? I am sure it is a bunch. I want the vendors that I am contacting to recognize that I am quite serious, yet don’t want to waste anyone’s time. I want to give them enough information to provide me with a quote that I can either work with, taking time to visit them in person to work out the yeas and nay’s or definitively dismiss.
Any help would be most appreciated 🙂 Happy Planning!!!!!
