It would be nice if we could start vendor lists for local area! Share your vendor names, locations, and their websites. Feel free to include any details of your experience thus far too. Hopefully it will help gives brides just starting planning (or those looking for that one last vendor) a great place to start!
Just copy and paste this list below and complete (and feel free to add vendors I may have forgotten)...
Hey girlies! :) (And guys, I know you're out there!!)
I'm getting married in N. Dallas/Plano, here are my vendors!
The wedding took place in Ocala, FL however we reside in Albuquerque, NM so we have vendors from both areas!
Just a note I added the following vendors to my list as I think most people have these vendors as well: RD Caterer, Venue, GM Attire, Veil, Bridal Jewelry, Dress Alterations (as it may differ from the purchase location)
@littlekbigt - Aww, Austin College! I went there my freshman year. Aramark's cafeteria-style catering is pretty terrible at times, but their food at fancy events was actually pretty darn tasty. Despite my transferring to another school (changed major to something they had a weak program for) I love my li'l AC. I kicked around the idea of having our wedding on its campus.
@abinnj - We're a welcoming crew here in DFW, but I thought I might point out that this thread is in the Dallas/Fort Worth local board and is generally intended for DFW related vendors & such. Le whoops!
I am not located in Dallas, but I am using a Dallas photographer! I fell in love with their photography and couldn't find a comprable quality here in New York that wasn't thousands more.
I decided to go with Perez Photography: www.perezblog.net, and couldn't be happier so far!
Also, ironically, I fell in love with the videography of Joe Simon Productions, but unfortunately, Its not going to work out for us, as they are way out of our budget, but its always nice to dream!
Hey ladies! Thanks for sharing all your great vendors, but this particular thread is for DFW brides to check out the local goodness! If you swing by your local board, there should be a thread like this on the top for you to share with girlies that are local to you.
Oh! I never thought about looking in Firewheel for wedding vendors!
Well, I'm not sure if the Branding Iron does offsite catering or not. Our reception/ceremony venue is at the Firewheel Golf Park, and as such, we have to use their onsite catering. I do absolutely loooooove the venue we have at the Firewheel Golf Park though!!
I blogged about it here:
http://maryandopie.blogspot.com/2009/03/progress-or-something-like-it.html
However, it looks about 1000x prettier right now than it did when I shot those photos in February or so, pre-foliage. If anyone is still shopping around for their venues and you want a semi-outdoor location, you should absolutely check out the pavilion. It's a pretty good value too. $850 for an 8-hour Saturday rental, and the building accomodates 300 people (though you'd have to rent extra chairs from elsewhere to seat that many - they only have 150 chairs included in the price). I promise I'm not being paid to rave about 'em. I'm just super-excited about our wedding venue. :)
Hi y'all-
This is my first post. I finally broke down and got a log in after stalking the boards for several weeks. Holla at my Roo Brides- I graduated in 2001.
Welcome to the boards, DallastoManchester! I'm so glad that you decided to post!
Photographer(s): Kandice Ray (e-pics) and Nine Photography (wedding)
DJ: Lori from Melodies and Memories
Dress: Mii's Bridal
Hi everyone! This is my first post, and our wedding isn't for a while but we do have a couple vendors booked:
Well, I haven't gotten much done yet but this much I know
Coordinator: Lara Whittington from 50 Foot Events. She is amazing. And she just started out on her own after working with the big shots like D Magazine, Todd Fiscus (THAT Todd Fiscus), etc. I have a tiny budget and I am grateful she was will to work with me
Officiant: David McDurham our college minister whilst I was at college. Super funny super sweet. AND his wife is a family counselor whom we are getting our premartial counseling from too.
Ceremony and Reception venue: Third Space in Downtown Dallas between the Joule and Neiman Marcus. Its an Art Gallery and if any of you Bees are into modern spaces and are having a small wedding, jump in on this space. They are brand new (just under a year old) and $2500 gets you everything from the space, 2 gallery docents/security, wine glasses, tables, chairs
Dress: Have not gotten it yet but probably from Lulu's Bridal.
I will get back to you bees on the rest. But I am super excited about who I have found so far.
Hey Bees! We got married on July 30, 2009 and I highly recommned all of our vendors. I've listed everybody I can remember. If you have any questions, let me know.
Wedding/Reception Venue: The Orion Ballroom
Food & Cake: The Orion Ballroom's catering (Edible Ideas)
Officiant: Marty Younkin - Love Notes
Flowers/Event Coordination: Absolutely Blooming - Marion Marshall
Photographer: Lawrence Jenkins
Dress: Circle Park Bridal
Alterations: Maybe Sew
Hair Flower: Millesime
DJ: Double Take Productions - Doug Biter
Ceremony Music: Sax Player - Steve Brummet

Hi Ladies, brand new to the bee:-) I currently reside in the Washington D.C. area, planning a wedding in my hometown - Dallas!
Hello! I think it is time I posted my list!
I will update more as more vendors come into the mix!
eKennedy & Mrs2theDR Welcome to weddingbee!!
Mrs2theDR - Trammell CROW!! How beautiful and exciting! I looked at that place too, and while it didn't fit the feel of our wedding that we wanted, it was breathtaking! I'm sure it will be a hit with your guests!
Veil Tales, if someone hasn't already told you, welcome to weddingbee! Also, you're having Chick fil a cater some of your wedding! Can I just say that I am jealous! They're my fast food of choice. hehe. Mmmm sweet teaaaa.. :) And Winfrey point is GORGEOUS, we were about thisclose to using that place. :) I've seen some BEAUTIFUL pictures of weddings and receptions there. :)
@LLauRRa Thank you so much for the welcome! I am a Chick Fil A addict! On Labor Day (Sept. 7) if you wear a sports team logo, you get a free chicken sandwich! I will be there in my Dallas Cowboys T-shirt!
I work next door to a Chick fil A, and they're constantly bringing us over stacks of coupons for free sandwiches and milkshakes and stuff. Bwahahaha.
I just started.. yesterday :0) traceymarie2010.blogspot.com.. i need some followers!
