Wanted to update you on a VERY successful trip to Rhode Island to meet with potential vendors. It’s a 7hr drive from DC to RI and I booked 10 meetings for this past Saturday and Sunday. We met with florists, caterers, photographers, Hair&Make-up, Bridal Dresses. We definitely had some really great appoitments and then some not so great…like a vendor who didn’t wear shoes to our meeting!! lol. And I found my dress!! Super excited.
We’re just waiting for our proposals to make a decision.
We’re going back home in 3 weeks to meet with DJ’s, Officiants, and anything else I’m forgetting.
Any recommendations for DJ’s??? I really want a “fun” party.

Sounds like you got a lot done! Which vendors did you meet with?
We’re using Larry from Engagements for our DJ, but we also met with John Bellagamo who works at a lot of area bars and seemed to have a really fun vibe.

@starfish: We met with Stoneblossom, Broadway florist, Milestones Florists, Snap Photography, Scrumptious bakery, Ray’s florist, New Leaf Hair Studio, Glorious Affairs, and La Salle Bakery, and Alexandria’s Bridal Shop. LOTS of places, but it’s great to feel like I’m checking off some of the boxes.
We had a really great experience with most of the vendors and they definitely made me feel like everything will be taken care of the day of the wedding or while I’m overseas.
Thanks for the DJ References. We will check them out.
