So, I’ve been looking for florists. I’ve been speaking to a few and had a few appointments. I recently reached out to this guy that had great reviews but when I didn’t hear back from him immediately I complety forgot about him. It’s partly my fault because I’ve been so busy. I was in serious talks with another florist and I finally booked her.
Fast forward a few days – the guy gets back to me with a great proposal that came in a little less than $1000 under the one I booked. GRANTED, I haven’t actually spoken to him in person yet, I had just sent hi m tons of info. But he’s worked with my venue before and sounds great.
The current florist I booked is 600 over my budget. But there’s a $300 cancellation fee with her. Should I juststay with the one I booked? Not sure what I should do!

I’d check with him to get specifics, but if you like his proposal, take he cancellation hit and go with the cheaper guy! It’s not like your florist has likely turned something down in the th last week.

I’d stick with your current vendor. It’s not worth possible communication issues in the future!

@MrsP0801: why is there a cancellation fee when the wedding is so far off?
did you sign something that says this?
mine says if i cancel 60 days before the wedding or something i lose my deposit but not THIS early your wedding is in August!

@elliptical2013: There’s a $300 administrative fee for if we cancel…we can cancel any time until 2 weeks before the wedding…that’s what the contract says if my memory serves me right…don’t have it with me right now.

@MrsP0801: review the contract please. you might be able to get your whole deposit back since its so far in advance.
