I’m not sure where to start. I thought all my vendors were amazing EXCEPT the cupcake boutique (now So Sweet Boutique in Haverhill). I partly blame myself as I should’ve known from day one not to hire Sharon. Before I get into all the reason’s why if I could give them a negative rating I would, let me give the main reason for this review – They did not deliver the correct amount of cupcakes, what they delivered was not even enough for all my guests. I ordered 140, under 100 were delivered. It’s a shame I’m going to write this review because the cupcakes themselves are good but Sharon was HORRIBLE to work with. After my first interaction with her I should’ve known to walk away. I had a scheduled tasting at the cupcake boutique, when i arrived the shop was closed and they were in the process of moving, when I told sharon I was there for our scheduled tasting she seemed surprised. We booked this less than 2 weeks prior how did she not know she her store was moving? We rescheduled, this time it was to take place at their new location. Sharon called me an hour before the scheduled time to ask if I would do the tasting at a local coffee shop as her store wasn’t ready. Again, did she just discover an hour before that the store wasn’t ready ?I agreed. At our tasting she had brought 3 flavors – vanillia, chocolate and a raspberry filled – 3 of the most common flavors, what a disappointment. I told sharon i was hesistant to book with her because of the recent experiences, aside from the fact she didn’t seem to understand why I’d feel this way she assured me she is a professional. Against the advise of my FI, I booked her. I send her the deposit, which she cashed within days and heard NOTHING from her, according to sharon i was to receive the contract immediately after sending the check, 2 weeks went by, after a few calls and emails I finally heard from her claiming she emailed me the contract, it took several times before I actually received anything. Anytime, I attempted to contact Sharon it took repeated either phone call or emails before I heard back from her. Once she was settled in the new shop in Haverhill I though maybe she’d be more on the ball. I would never have checked to see if the correct amount of cupcakes were delivered, however, one of my vendors commented to me that it didn’t look like enough cupcakes were on the table. I called Sharon to ask her how many she delivered, her response ” i don’t know, I don’t have the contract with me, how many did you order”. Um, I’m standing here in my wedding gown, I don’t have the contract either. At this point my wedding coordinator took over. I later learned the remaining cupcakes we eventually delivered. After the wedding, I sent Sharon a note asking her to explain what went wrong, she responded with a lengthly email full of excuses – what a hard year it’s been and offered me a partial refund – that was over 3 weeks ago, I have not heard from her or seen a refund. Aside from Sharon being difficult to work with, there were a few other issues: some of the cupcakes were not decorated as discussed, the cutting cake was not decorated anything close to the pictures I sent her, ok fine if she couldn’t do it I would’ve understood but she never said she couldn’t decorate the cutting cake like the pictures. I had asked Sharon if she would be putting a sign on the table to let guests know what the flavors were, this didn’t happen either. I should not be surprised as she didn’t respond to that email either. I’ve been holding off writing this review in hopes I could write something positive but it doesn’t seem to be the case. In the end, this didn’t impact what a great day we had but I caution anyone who wants to work with an organized professional, who will deliver what you want, to think twice about working with Sharon Breigher and the Cupcake Boutique/ So Sweet Boutique.
