I thought it might be nice to share some of our positive vendor experiences. Since we are always eager to share our negative ones- but we need to also know about Who’s GOOD out there. So here’s a company I worked with recently;
I ordered my invitations and matching thank you cards from the online site Wedding Paper Divas. My experience with them has been wonderful. They made an impersonal experience, online purchase, very personal- and provided one on one service with their help with my quirky wording.
Although there was a very small snafu in the amount of envelopes I received. They were quick to overnight the missing set. Other than that- it was smooth sailing!
Wedding Paper Divas was quick, easy, affordable and I’m just really delighted with my purchase. I got gorgeous invitations on my little budget – how wonderful is that!
Do you have an online or other vendor you’d like to share?

Thanks for the info! I’m pretty sure I’m going to order my invites from them, so I’m glad to hear they worked out well for you.

I ordered my STDs from Wedding Paper Divas as well. They were incredibly fast – returned the electronic proof about five hours after I placed my order – and I then received the actual STDs four days earlier than their 10 day estimate. They were packaged really well, and were absolutely perfect.

I got my save the dates from them- They were great to work with and everyone loved the save the dates and told me how great they looked! Yea W.P. Divas! I also got my stuff way quicker than they promised- I had the proof almost immediately and the actual STDs within a few days.

I know I’m being a little impatient because I should be getting my Wedding Paper Divas sample in the mail in the next few days but for those of you who have ordered invitations from them…what was the paper like (in terms of thickness)?

I went with the DIY route and I’m loving Kelly’s Paper! They have exceptional service and you can’t beat their return policy. I highly recommend getting paper from them if you’re planning to make your own invites/programs/stds.

the card stock was nice- not too thick though- but much more luxe feeling than some of the other online samples I ordered.
Also their presentation and packaging is much better then a few of the other "more affordable" online sites. I ordered from one- and the sample was all mushed in the mail.

I have to say that my (possibly ex) videographer, whom I may cancel because of budget reasons has been a doll!!
Jeff Achen Videography in Minnesota, if you live here check him out! He has been great and personal, even being a small self owned business.
When I said I have to cancel he said "What can we do to make this affordable for you" – which is above and beyond if you ask me.
We’re currently checking in to things together and even if I don’t get to use him I will still pass him on – you can’t find customer service like this anymore.
website isn’t "great" – but don’t let that be your first impression.

I agree with beesknees – presentation and packaging from Wedding Paper Divas was great. Everything in a separate cello envelope with their sticker. Some of the companies act as if you must be ordering samples only from them – don’t provide any indication on the sample of its origin. The cardstock was very nice. The envelopes were also really nice quality – much better than most of the STD envelopes I received with samples, if they bothered to send envelope samples at all (a lot didn’t).

Thanks for the advice! I checked out their website and ordered two samples.

I agree, their prices are so affordable. My gf got her shower invitations done with them and how fab they turned out! Congrats and finding such a great vendor that makes you smile!

When I was getting ready for my wedding, me and my fiancé got our invitations from Wedding Paper Divas. It was so easy to set up, and the cards when we got them were so beautiful. To top it off, I even was able to find a coupon online for 10% off! I couldn’t be happier with the invitations we got, and I see that everyone here’s had basically the same experience.
Here’s the 10% coupon i found:

we went the mostly DIY-route and designed our own, but had letterpress printing done via Mercurio Brothers. i certainly recommend the quality, though you really do need to call and follow up on all internet/email orders – i had to send mine twice, but once it was confirmed, the printing happened on scheduled, they called to let me know they were done and, because they are fairly local to me, i was even able to arrange to pick them up so saved on shipping. woo hoo!
