Weddingbee boards

Hi all!  It's been a while since I've posted but wanted to review our vendors from our June 12 wedding! We were truly lucky to have found such great vendors and I'm not just saying that...everyone involved was incredible and made our day that much more special!

Location:  The Grandview, Poughkeepsie, NY

Opinion:  AMAZING!  Our wedding was held in the outdoor tent overlooking the Hudson River.  The views were incredible and truly is the "grandview."  They don't just have a great location to boast about, the service was even better.  Starting with the coordinators (Thank you Margaret!) and staff, they were so unbelievably helpful and answered all our questions.  They must see hundreds of weddings a year but made it a point to remember us and make us feel like we were the only ones that mattered.  The food was superb and the entire wedding was so much more than I could have imagined.  People are still raving about it months later! 

DJ:  The DJ Solution

Opinion:  AMAZING!  There have been many reviews posted about Steph and Jeff but these two deserve every nice word that has been said.  They were the first and last DJ we met with because we knew instantly that we had to hire them!  They are professional, young, NOT cheesy, fun and so nice.  They gladly accommodated our unique reception entrance and had great suggestions when we were stuck on songs.  They had the perfect song choices for dinner, dancing, cake cutting, etc. to make the mood just right.  Go with them, you won't be disappointed!

Photographer:  Nick Carter (www.nickcarterweddings.com)

Opinion:  AMAZING!  I spoke with dozens of photographers trying to find just the right one and I found that with Nick.  He's professional, calm, not overbearing and in your face, but also will take charge organizing big groups for shots!  We had to get about 25-30 people in one photo and Nick made sure that everyone was in the photo and not blocked by someone else.  He's calm during crazy moments and makes you feel like everything is taken care of!  Our photos are absolutely stunning, there are so many great shots I don't even know what to do with them!  The best part is that Nick is so reasonably priced you'd think there should be a catch...but there isn't!  He could easily charge much more for his services but he doesn't believe in that.  I would highly highly reccommend Nick to anyone!

Videographer:  Daniel Fessak (Sweet Pea Studios, www.sweetpeastudiosnyc.com)

Opinion:  AMAZING!  I originally was hesitant to have a videographer, like many others, but quickly realized that I wanted to document the wedding day in video.  Searching for a videographer is really hard, especially with a limited budget!  But luckily I found Daniel and I liked that he was different from the typical cheesy wedding video style.  He stresses that with proper editing you can make a great video without overpowering it with special effects and loud music.  On the day of the wedding, I barely even saw Daniel!  He was not overbearing, in your face, making you do things, etc.  He was so quiet he often went unnoticed but was always there to capture each moment (which was exactly what we were looking for).  He worked really hard in the weeks after the wedding to find just the right music that fits our style and created an absolutely incredible end result!  The video is so much more than I ever thought it could be!  Daniel is so talented in what he does and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made! Definitely contact Sweet Pea Studios if you are even thinking about hiring a videographer and you'll soon realize why you should!
