It sounds like they know what they are doing and are doing it on purpose. I highly doubt a note will change anything.

Does the lot get super full, so that the 1/2 space is the only one left? If not, I’d just leave it alone.

If it’d make you feel better, you could leave a note but I highly doubt it’ll do any good.

@MrsDrRose612:  If it gets full then you could write something like:

“To the owner of this car, please pull forward completely into the spot. Your car is currently taking up 2 spots (as it does every day) and there is not enough room for all the cars in this lot as it is. Please be courteous to your fellow employees and pull your car all the way forward so we can all share the lot.”

You are more likely to get a reaction if you are nice then if you write a scathing note.

Can you notify security at the hospital and ask them to take care of it? They have more power than you, they can give the person a warning and tow the car if the problem continues.

Ugh! This sort of thing reeeeeally gets to me!

I used to live in Raleigh. I worked at one of the two university hospitals in that area. I’m not sure which one you’re at but if your blue is a bit darker, you can ask security to address a notice to them. Depending on who in security you talk to, they may even go as far as check the i.d. to notify the employee.

You can also get the parking lot attendant, (I am guessing most hospitals have one?) actually give a warning ticket to the vehicle. After the third warning, tow the car away….

Agree, you don’t want the know coming from you, it could make things worse.  A note coming from a building manager or security would work MUCH better.

@MrsDrRose612:  I agree with notifying security. Or at least stick that on the note.

“After repeatedly seeing this vehicle occupy two stalls in a lot that quickly fills to capacity, security has been notified.”

Sometimes the fear of action is enough to change behavior ๐Ÿ˜‰

I agree give the letter to the parking lot attendent instead. I’m sure this person isn’t going to take a scathing letter from some anon person seriously. It’s not going to effective a positive change by stooping to their level. I think by taking to the manager or attendent, it would be better because they get a formal warning from someone who can tow their car if they don’t follow the rules. Then everyone wins! Although I suppose for karma it would be nice for their car to get towed at least once so they can learn their lesson.

Dear Asshole-

Learn how to park. ๐Ÿ™‚

Short and sweet! ๐Ÿ™‚

But, I agree, the parking person might have more pull than you.  The note probably won’t do any good, and it will probably just make them do it even more.  But, it will probably make you feel better!!!
