I think i found the venue of my dreams. Im getting married in Atlanta GA, and the venue that my fiance and I are looking at is The Wimbish House, it comes with old school chavari chairs but they are gold. The colors that i wanted for the reception are purple’s and grey/silver. Im worried that the chairs will throw the whole concept out the window. Do you think i should change my colors to match the chairs, and if so what colors should i use. I also want to add that my fiance is set on having uplighting.
This is the venue space and the chairs it comes with

The venue space is lovely. My approach to planning decor was not to fight what was already there and make it work with what I wanted. If I were you, yes I would change the color scheme to use gold instead of silver. Pretty easy change. You still get the purple. I see that there are other gold accents in the room as well. I think what’s already there will enhane everything you have going on, (just don’t go overboard on the gold).
Our venue also had gold details and gold chiavari chiars. We incorporated the color and it worked out great.

That space is lovely! I would change your colors to accomadate if you are really set on the site. In my opinion, dark purple and gold are one of the prettiest and most glamorous color combinations. You could go with a different color than gold/silver all together though.
