Hi All
I love love love my venue and am about to sign a contract with them. I also have found a caterer I love - who is not on their preferred caterer list. The caterer has to sign a contract with the venue and in the contract it states that they'll pay the venue 10% of the final bill. So basically if I pay $10,000 for the food, the caterer will charge $11000 and have to fork over $1000 to my venue. I've never heard of it, my caterer says that nobody in my town charges that much and I need to know how to handle it? Should I ask to take that off? Offer to pay 5%?
