i'm not from the area, so I can't help you, but I had the same requirements for my venue, and found that the best places to look are just local community halls. Contact the chamber of commerce for the city you want - you'd be surprised at the sort of places they know of that you'd never even think of.
Although not northern Jersey but central - try Lotus Studios in Highland Park. It's a loft like space that will allow you to bring in your own wine, beer and caterer. We booked it for our reception ( FI fell in love with it!) and there is a space available for a ceremony. Also, it's a non-profit so very budget friendly!

Hi everyone!
We just got engaged and are looking for a venue in Northern NJ (where I grew up, but we don't live). We have a few requirements that are making the search kind of difficult, so input would be hugely appreaciated. Here's what we need:
- 100-125 guests
- The ceremony and reception would be held in the same place, so we'd like somewhere with connected indoor and outdoor space (so if the weather is awful, we could move the reception into the reception area)
- Home brewed beer and wine are central to our theme. We need a venue that allows us to bring in alcohol.
- We have a favorite restaurant that we'd like to cater the event. Not absolutley necessary, but we'd like to have the option.
Are we too demanding, or does this sort of location exist in Northern NJ??
THANK YOU!!!
