I am curious about this as well. My top three venues are exactly yours. I plan on visiting Bear Mountain really soon, so I can give you the lowdown on that.
I LOVE the idea of Full Moon Resort, I just hate that it'sa little far from NYC and airports. However, it seems like a dream venue.
As for the Stroudsmoor, my FMIL is totally pushing it. Let me know what you think of it!

Stroudsmoor is absolutely gorgeous! How was your visit? FI and my parents loved it there, but I am not a very rustic and outdoorsy person at ALL so we went for an old hotel in the Lehigh Valley instead. I haven't been to any weddings at Stroudsmoor, but my parents have and they have always raved about it. We stopped for brunch after our visit, and the food was excellent. The pricing seemed very fair for the area, too.. we actually were surprised and were expecting it to be much more expensive.

Hello ladies,
I just joined the bee after having scoured the message boards about feedback on various venues I've been researching and realizing I needed to post myself. I'm planning on getting married next year and have looked at 12-15 different venues in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and Poconos. My fiance is supportive but just wants me to be happy so I need more feedback from opinionated gals :).
I want an outdoor ceremony in a woodsy area and prefer the lodging and reception on-site with most guests having to travel from the mid-west to attend. I've narrowed my options down to the following: Bear Mountain Overlook Lodge, Full Moon Resort, and this weekend I'm looking at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. We're having a vegan wedding (all of these places have and can do a vegan meal) and I prefer to keep it more eco in concert with the location. I can't decide, which one should I pick? Both have pros and cons.
Any constructive comments (if you've had or attended a wedding at any of these locations) are greatly appreciated especially in regards to: 1) food, 2)price, 3)service,4)accommodations, and 5)staying true to verbal & written agreements.
