@lrszwedding: Hmm. You may, but most venues require that you provide bartenders and that they or the caterer have liability insurance, which would put a damper on your self-serve beer and wine.
I'm pretty sure this is a PA state law, as I'm planning my wedding in Philly and have run up against this issue. But I would just double-check that this is even feasible, as you may be forced to hire a caterer or bartender...or at the very least purchase quite a bit of event insurance.
Hi! I am getting married in Grantville, PA. It's $3000 for venue but includes all tables and chairs for outdoor ceremony and indoor reception! It's gorgeous! All vendors are your pick! :-)
You should try Liberty Place in Lancaster, PA! BYO Caterer, Bartenders, everything. It's a very large venue that can hold at least 350 people. There is an open field next to the building - maybe it could host an outdoor ceremony.
Good luck!

I'm getting married in Lancaster, PA. The tentative date is for sometime spring 2012. We're hoping to find a place with all of the following critera:
Basically, we need a venue that will let us use their space for an affordable price but will be completely hands off and let us do our own thing.
