While I too prefer the old colors, the light brown is actually very common in Mediterranean areas.

I don’t think there’s ever a guarantee of certain colors, especially not for exterior paint, unless it’s part of the contract. Trying to negotiate risks you getting labelled as a high-maintenance customer, and you will have a much easier time finding solutions to your other concerns if the staff actually wants to work with you.

I don’t think it’s a big deal. Certainly not worth getting all worked up or losing $2k. The brown is nice and will go with anything.

I’m from Hawaii, and growing up seeing the HUGE PINK ARMY HOSPITAL every day of my life has made me really dislike pink buildings. I actually like the uniformity and feel of the new brown.

I feel that your guests will not be disappointed. I think your Mediterranean theme will still look gorgeous.

OK, yeah, the first pic looks thrown together and crooked. I’d absolutely let them know it needs to be fixed.

Mehreenc:  Is the decor included in the contract? If t’s not up to your standards, can you negotiate a discount and have the decor done by an outside contractor?

i think the first picture can easily be fixed by them pulling the draping tighter before tying it.

Mehreenc:  they should but im sure if you show them the images and tell them you are concerned with their ability they arent going to do a crappy job. make it known what your expectation is.
