well i actually ran into the same problem with my venue, I ended up having to go down there after repeated phone calls and emails that were unanswered. I went down there and went over everything although they werent very good to work with, Had to come back several more times because they were unprepared and etc. SO i totally know how you feel, It is very frustrating and unsettling to go through this, Its not like you dont have enough to worry about already! Good Luck with this and hope you get things worked out!

i didn't think this would happen to me because the venue AND the wedding manager have good reviews online..........
long story short, i paid my deposit last december. i never heard from the manager after the credit card was charged. i didn't think it was a big deal at first.
a few days ago, i started to wonder what my next steps should be to finalize the details (what course to serve, how tables should be placed, linen color...etc). i emailed her last friday. no reply. i thought that was normal because she usually would call to reply my emails. waited till saturday, still no reply. so i decided to call her, phone was transferred by the receptionist to her line (meaning she is NOT on vacation or anything), no one answered. i left her a voice message for her to call me back.
i still haven't heard back from her even though i called again earlier (monday) and left her another voice message.
i definitely feel mistreated especially when she was always very responsive before i paid the deposit.
i thought about calling to talk to her manager, but wonder if this would make future coordinations with her harder? how should i deal with this correctly?
can someone please give me some advise? thanks....
