@engleman10513:  Will a shuttle to and from the ceremony and reception be provided? (If Applicable)

At what time will my guests have to leave the facility?

Must I use vendors of your choosing?

Do you allow alcohol and open flames?

Who is responsible for setting up and tearing down the decor, and when will it be completed?

How early can I get into the site to set up?

How many weddings will be booked on my day?

@engleman10513:  Are you having the rehearsal (the actual rehearsal, not rehearsal dinner) there too? If so then I’d ask where and what time that can happen.

Are ceremony and reception on the same site?

If so, ask:

How will guests know where to go between the ceremony and reception?

Finalize times of all “events” with your coordinator -the cake cutting tiem, when dinner is served, the length of cocktail hour, etc.

@engleman10513:  Id ask if there are any restrictions with set up; ex, can you tape things to the wall, can you use your own ladders.

Maybe go over who they need to contact the day of if something is wrong or timing is off.  Our venue required a person to be designated for this.

hope this helps

My questions will be about the timing and order of serving if it is sit down.  I know this sounds picky, but I hate when I am served my dessert wayyyyyy before they come around with coffee or tea. When the coffe is finally served , the staff is clearing tables and everyone feels rushed. Forget a coffee refill at that point.

Or what about rolls on the tables…  Do they refil, when do they put them out..  I have been to too may weddings where they don’t put the rolls out until the dinner and don’t serve them wiith the salad. Also, they serve one per person, never to come by again.  ( I’m not a real roll person but too many times salad is served and then speeches, etc and everyone is starving to death at that point.

probably most important though is to work through who exactly will do what and when …are you decorating, what do they do, what time can the cake be delivered, what time should flowers arrive and florist can access set up tables with linens on, etc.  my friends florist showed up too early and the tables werent ready for centerpieces so the florist just left them and the venue set them up incorrectly.
