hmmm i think that's a little pricey, but if you love the venue you love the venue. what does that include, just food and bar?
yes just food and bar. and then there is 20% gratuity on top of that.
the good thing is we would not have to decorate venue at all - but does that matter?
I agree with crebre80. I think that's a little pricey but then again for Vagas that might be the going rate?
I'm also having a semi-DW wedding it is difficult to gage how many people will come. I would try to ask people to get an idea (of course some will say yes but when it comes time, RSVP no). We also lowered our minimum from what we expected with our caterer just in case. We didn't want to be stuck paying for people that wouldn't come and once we made our down payment we couldn't decrease only increase.
I would continue to look around but if you really love that one and keep coming back to it then I say go for it.
i do keep coming back to the one venue. a lot of others i looked at are in the 125 - 150 per head range.
i would feel silly if say, only 20 people show up! how does one navigate this??
that seems like a lot to me, but that's because my budget is so small! if you have the money than go for it, i'm sure it'll be an awesome wedding!
it seems like a lot to me too - and i have crazy expensive taste! i want to treat our guests well and all, but I don't want to spend a crazy amount if i don't have to.
do you guys think it makes it more reasonable if all staff and rentals are included in the price?

Hi bees,
I have found a venue I like but I'm confused by the mininum thing...our is a Vegas DW and there's no way to gage how many peeps will be coming. I'm guessing 40-50 but I hope I'm not just wishful thinking...we both know we will have very few family members attending and that wipes out most of the guest list.
The venue I love quoted me food and bev minium of 6700. For forty guests, that's a little over 167.00 per head. It's in our budget and doable but is that very expensive? I am clueless.
And what do I do if less rsvp? Do I switch to a venue with smaller mins? Can you negotiate to have other services inlcuding in the min. spend?
