I had read a few reviews about the venue owners, that the gentleman was a real know it all (I met him, he was). And, the female is very bossy (I met her, she is). OK I was going to deal with that… hoping to do as much as I could and not have to ask them for anything. Then, a friend of mine who is my photographer, had a photographer friend give him their thoughts after shooting a wedding there yesterday. The owners are exactly as described, the man who is also a photgrapher, was present the entire service takin pictures. He told the other photographer that he was going to offer the bride a package. The woman was not the wedding coordinator, and she bossed everyone around and took control of the show.
Hmmm I don’t like this; I sure don’t want to deal with this. And I am not a confrontational type of person. Thoughts?

@melinda090912: I’m confused. You think the venue owners are going to try to dictate the photographs? That would bother me. You could avoid it in a few ways:
- Give the photographer a list of photographs you want, and if the venue owner tries to intercept he can show them the list
- Book somewhere else
- Have a bossy trusted friend make sure the venue owner doesn’t get in the way

I don’t want the owners to try to run the show. We are paying quite a bit of money to have the reception there, and we are using their preferred vendors and they are getting a good stock of money. I think that the rest should be left up to the individuals that I have chosen to do the photography and wedding coordination.
I have told my my photographer and the wedding coordinator that during the rehearsal, I will be introducing them as such, and that after that, they will need to take care of any “issues”. I sure dont want to deal with this on my wedding day.
