What month are you looking to get married in?
There's a number of wineries in the area where you could have an outdoor ceremony and maybe a tented reception? Do you want the whole thing outdoors or just the ceremony?
Not a bad idea. We were thinking of getting married in Aug - in a very small ceremony. We were running in trouble finding an outdoor location that allows alcohol to be served. This is a good suggestion!
Have you thought about getting a wedding planner to make it easier on yourselves since you're planning from so far away?
Maybe this will help: http://www.weddingwhereyouwant.com/locations.htm
I've not been to any of the locations you mentioned above, but do remember finding a number of great smaller/outdoor venues in the area when I was looking at the beginning of the year.
Check out the Canadian Bride websites, they usually list venues, here's the Frugal Bride list:

If you're looking for a place that allows alcohol, a B&B or restarurant wit patio might be abetter option than a public park. There are also a few conservation areas that regularly hold weddings (Black Creek & Kortright) and the McMichael gallery has a great outdoor space!

Hi everyone,
My fiancé and I are looking for a nice venue for an outdoor wedding in Mississauga or Toronto area. We're thinking about either a park or somewhere by a lake. Any suggestions?
I called the city of Mississauga and they recommended the following places: Karyia Parkm Richard's Memorial and Rhododendron parks. My fiancé likes the idea of doing a wedding by the cliffs of Rattlesnake Point, but we're not sure it there will be a problem of accessibility (my grandfather can't walk very far). Anyone been to a wedding at these locations? What did you think?
PS We're organizing remotely - we currently live in California. My parents have been doing some looking around, but I just thought I'd get some suggestions here as well.
Thank you!!
