Some might be booked because of the date.  I think you have to ask yourself if you’d move the date for a venue you fell in love with or if you are commited to that date and don’t want to work with any venue that’s already booked on it.

Most will give you a package or folder with basic info.  Ask if they will also share a real final bill from a wedding that was around the size that yours will be.  One venue did this for me and I noticed that they did not include staffing in the fees that were originally quoted.

The first visit doesn’t have to be the only visit.  Make your visits and discuss how you felt over them.  Then go back and see the ones you liked best again.

We are getting married 10.21.12 and still did not find a place. My state is very pricey. I say go with an open mind and do not be afraid to negotiate. Good luck!

my Fiance are starting the whole process of planing our big day. we both agreed that we want to get married in his town which is a small town. the only issue im seeing is there might not be a venue for us. HELP

my wedding is 10.20.12!  we got our venue, but the first weekend was booked. i know that the 13th was scaring people off, if you wanted a sat wedding  🙂
