We’ve looked at a handful of places, The Big Yellow Barn was very reasonably priced for the incredible location and history behind the site… but we still can’t afford it. It would take up over half our wedding budget even if we got married on a weekday and did all the set-up/clean-up ourselves. We’re looking into our church as an option, but that depends on their policies.
We’re dead set on a venue with a nice outdoor option and a token “Bozeman” view of the mountains. We can be flexible about a lot of other things. Any creative ideas?
Our guest list is about 80 people, minus people who RSVP no (so 70 is a conservative estimate) so I think that gives us a bit of flexibility.

@hedgehogcatcher: have you tried looking at some ranches for a venue space? This one looks like they cater to weddings and also offer the Bozeman view you are looking for. The MT boards are kind of dead :/

@Mrs_Amanda: Yes we visited the rocking tj. It was twice as expensive, unfortunately and had a very luxury spa feel that’s a bit out of place for our style. I am currently looking into the Hyalite Youth Camp, it’s on my list to call tomorrow.
Yeah there isn’t much going on on these boards. Lame though, Bozeman is like a wedding mecca or something. I love living here 🙂

This is the awesome big yellow barn, it’s amazing.
We should just have our honeymoon backpacking in the mountains or something instead and go with it. haha
