    Hello,

If anyone has ever had or been to a wedding outdoors in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls/Grand Island/Orchard Park/Cheektowaga/Depew/Western New York area and you know of a venue that holds about 250 people, please give suggestions!

Below is a list we've assembled so far, if anyone has ever attended a wedding or had a wedding at any of the below either, please let me know what you think of the below.

Any information about prices, caterers, bathroom access, anything for these venues would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!Venues for Ceremony and Reception - need help - has anyone ever been to these? : wedding Icon Biggrin

You have a wide range of options there.  I can't give you specifics on details about each of those places and I'm not sure if all of them hold weddings.  I know that there are weddings at the marcy casino, but I didn't think they were at the parkside lodge in delaware park.    My sister considered the Emery Park lodge but ended up changing her mind.  One of the parks would be a lot more coordination than a place like Klocs or Beaver Island - where they take care of everything for you.    My ceremony and reception is at the Buffalo botanical gardens...which might be another place you want to check out.

    good luck!

Also, you should post on the Western New York Knot message board, you might get a better response there.

SO I live in Wheatfield just outside of Niagara Falls and was at a wedding two years ago this July. She booked the site for the weekend and rented tents and had Kentucky Greg's cater it. It was great because we had use of the inside room which had bathrooms. You were able to bring in your own alcohol. Which can also be a problem because it will be you that has to set up everything and get it all ready. Another thing is that you have to clean up too. The other good thing is that you can use their table and everything. If you have any specific questions my email is jenineditzler@yahoo.com feel free to contact me! Oh and beaver Island is suppose to be beautiful it is hard to get it so book in advance. You can look them up on the web for additional information.

I live near Como Park, and while it is a large park, I feel like people are walking their dogs all the time, or it is really full on a nice weekend.  If you really want that type of casual setting, then you might want to look into it, but it's not as private as Emery Park or Chestnut Ridge.  I went to a wedding at Klocs last year in the summer.  It was nice because we had dinner inside, and then were able to have drinks and dance out on the patio afterwards.  That was great.  It was more formal than a park setting would be, and they take care of it all for you.  The only thing is the decor they have there is pretty permanent.  My friend was the bride and she really didn't like that they had lots of artificial flower arrangements around.  It's pretty dated, but we spent the most time, and had the most fun outside on the patio.  Good luck!

I'm in Rochester, so this may be out of your range, but Bella Vista at Casa Larga is absolutely beautiful. It's in Fairport, super easy to get to off of the interstate. Holds up to 250 I believe. Reasonable price for everything they offer; very nice to work with. I have a friend getting married at Shanghai Red in Buffalo on the bay - also beautiful. Good luck!

I've been to the Emory Park Ski lodge...it's actually on my list of possible venues.  It's a good size lodge, very rustic with two large iron grated fireplaces on either end.  I was a little disappointed with the area of the park it was in; not as much greenery as I was hoping for.

    Hope this helps!
