So my fiance and I decided to change our initial venue. My dad died about a month ago and so I wanted to change some things about the wedding. This is one of my first choices. Any opinions would be appreciated. The venue has two levels and they will bring in different tables and rearrange the furniture. What do you think?

I like it, but it's a little dark for my tastes.  Maybe add some more candles or something?

Thanks for the quick replies. I thought it might look a bit dark, but I'm not sure if it's just the pictures and will see when I go for a site visit. I can adjust the lighting so I don't really see it as a problem.

It is very sexy and I wonder is it too sexy for a wedding, but so far ppl tell me it suits me because it looks a bit glam and trendy. Before my dad died unexpectedly I was having a big affair (more traditional), but after he died I wanted something that was a bit more intimate (with less ppl), but that had a chic nyc vibe to it. So I'm hoping this one works out because I'm not much in the mood to keep looking...lol

I think the style is very much what you described as your ideal: intimate, chic, glam...the lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood, but I like the warm glow.

First of all, sorry to hear about your dad. My heart goes out to you.

As for the venue, I think it's a fun glam place.  If it's you...do it!

Thank you so much ladies for all your feedback! I appreciate the condolences. It does have a warm glow to it. I think that's a great way to describe it ms.pascua :) This is very hard to do, but I figured if I book a venue I can take a break from it all for a few months since the church has been booked already.

Also the reception will take place on a Saturday night so I thought this would be ok as opposed to if it were for a Sunday brunch reception. I'm thinking of having very simple floral arrangements or centerpieces since the venue is pretty dramatic on its own.
