Can't wait till Oprah airs today to get a peek at the dresses! Although I cheated and looked online already - check it out here:

Oh man, these dresses are looking AMAZING!!! Perhaps I'll be a two-dress bride. I'm loving the one inspired by Chelsea Clinton's dress and the architectural chiffon one towards the begin.

    Anyone excited about this?

The show has already aired here, and I loved it!  I think it's awesome that she will be doing a collection for David's Bridal, and even more awesome that my wedding is so far away that I might have a chance to wear one!

I love the two in blush! But then again, my dress is also blush :p They'd still be gorgeous in white or ivory though!

Am I the only one who is a little disappointed? I was hoping for more with lace. The Ivanka inspired one is very nice, though.

@Amaryllis: I'm guessing it is because lace is a pricier material

@babyboo: Yup, I was just about to say the same thing. To keep it at regular DB prices, they can't really do lace or silk. To me what really makes the couture dresses special is the quality of the fabrics, beading, embroidery etc rather than the design itself;  which would make me less excited about this line. Still it's nice that she's bringing a breath of fresh air to DB. If they're going to keep doing designer knockoffs, they may as well have the actual designer do them!

I just watched this show and a part of me really wishes these had been there before my wedding and when I was dress shopping - not that I didn't absolutely LOVE my BD dress, but some of these would have been great options too!

i swear I was seriously green with envy. Not so much of Vera Wang, but off all the other extra these brides go. A $4000 gift card from Marriott. Urrgghhhhh

@Amaryllis: I'm with you. The dresses were pretty but not spectacular. Number 10 was my favorite because I love the swirl skirt but I think they will go by the way side once everyone catches on, much like pick-ups.

I was hoping the Vera Wang line would be in David's Bridal soon enough for me to purchase a gown for my June wedding. But then I found out the line wasn't coming til Feb. Well, I went ahead & purchased a gown this weekend that I am in LOVE with. It's an Oleg Cassini lace gown. And after just looking at the Vera Wang line for David's on Oprah's website, I'm so glad I didn't wait for her line. I didn't really like any of them. I like my Cassini dress better!! They weren't me. But I'm glad for all of you who have been waiting for this =).
