I'm undecided. I ordered the sequinned Gemma, so I don't want to wear anything that's too embellished. I was thinking I might just opt for the simple vanilla-coloured grosgrain sash pictured on the runway.
Also, for my reception, I have purchased a pair of large swarovski chandelier earrings, so again, I don't want to be too OTT with my sash.
I had considered getting the tulle sequinned sash, as it's quite subtle, but I don't really like how it's so wide...
@Vera Girl: I ordered the tulle sequined sash but not sure if I want to use it anymore! I think it might be too plain for me. I haven't decided. I haven't decided on earrings yet either. Will you be wearing a necklace?
@cupcake728: I won't be wearing a necklace, as I have a pair of large, statement earrings to wear to the reception. I decided on earrings vs necklace as I want to keep my decolletage and neckline bare.
It's so hard deciding what accessories to wear so that we don't compete with the dress!
Haha, I think we're all in the same boat. I also ordered the sequined sash in the moment because I thought it was nice and subtle, but now I'm leaning toward the ivory ribbon on the runway myself.
One wedding I saw with the sash made me less thrilled about it.
I'm going to wear a simple black grosgrain sash- so basically the runway version but with a contrasting sash. I wasn't sure I'd like it as much as I did, but I was hell bent on black and ivory as my colors, and when I tried the black belt it looked SO much better than I'd thought it would. Briefly considered getting the Vera beaded sash in black, but I think it'll make me look too busy
@shoegal_622: I would love to see pictures of your dress and sash! I think it will look so bold and stunning.
Where is everyone finding the Gemma dress? I am in LOVE with it but I live in eastern Canada and disigner dresses like Vera are not sold in bridal shops around here. I love it so much I am considering travelling to get it and am just wondering where everyone is getting theirs and the rough price range. Thanks so much!
Where in Eastern Canada do you live? If you're in Ontario, there is a Vera Wang store in Toronto. That is where I got mine. The dress is $5590 without sequins and around $6500 with sequins.
