I am in love with this dress! Just wanted to see if any of you had pictures of yourselves in it? I need to see it on someone other than the model! Thanks in advance!

I have this dress too!!! no pictures of me in it though cos our VW store didn't allow it the day i tried the dress.... but i am getting it this SEPT!!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!! :D
Does Hilary Duff not count as a real bride? Lol. Is this Vera design just based on her dress? I assume her's was custom made.
I love this dress! If I didn't have a budget this would have been my dress.
I'm here! Been away for a bit. I'm retrying the gown later next month because the photos are not that great at all, so I should have better pics by then. :) Also, VW finally released the video of the runway show today, so you can see how this gown moves!!! It's absolutely incredible.

@7-9-11bride: The Gemma is based on Hilary's gown but it is slightly different. She didn't have the sequins, and the flare was a bit more defined. I like how seamless the flare is on the new version. :)

How much is this gown with the sequins? I saw its "paid for" price was listed around 8,000 but without the sequins on preownedweddingdresses.com... Any ideas?
Also I would LOVE to put the torso of the "Fiona" with the bottom of this dress.... Wonder what the custom "mash-up" would cost...
@JeanSauer: So I read somewhere else on weddingbee that it's $5500 without and $6500 with the sequins... Can anyone vouch for that? Honestly, for a Vera Wang, and for THIS dress? That seems pretty reasonable... What a beauty...
I'm also very interested in the price of this gown. The sequins really make the dress. I saw the $8,000 one you talk about but $6,500 sounds sooooooo much better. Not that it was my original budget anyway but if I'm looking at a 7k Christos gown I might as well. hehe.
Also, magz88 how tall are you? I'm pretty short and I'm concerned about it chopping me. So if it will fit me as well as it fits you I'd be thrilled since you really are werkin' it.
Yep, $5500 without sequins, $6500 with! The sequined sash that magz88 is wearing is $250? I forget. Did you get it?? It's so beautiful in person. :)

@MASPA: FWIW, they are shortening the dress by 3 inches for me. If you don't purchase the gown from VW directly, ask your salon to inquire about it and pressure them. I refused to buy the gown locally because they wanted to hack the gown up themselves instead of ordering the gown modified when they will do it!
@JeanSauer: And I wonder where they're getting $8000 from. I guess they're including alterations, tax, veil?? Because if alterations was $500ish, tax $600ish, and veil $300, I guess $8k sounds right.
@MASPA: Thank you!!! I am 5' 7" I think that being a few inches shorter or taller wouldn't matter a whole lot. For the $6500 I paid for this dress + sash they better make it fit like a dream =)

YAY more Gemma dress brides! :) The gown looks gorgeous on all you ladies! I ordered mine in March ...and I don't get it til Sept! =(
lucky for those who paid $6500 ... I got the one without sequins and paid $6215 CDN due to the 13% tax!! shoulda bought from the states.... but oh well.......
I just tried this dress on yesterday and am absolutely in love with it.
I'm only 5'2" but am going to have them shorten it by 3" because I want the draping to be higher. It does not at all overpower me and I feel like a total princess in the dress.
I've been drooling over the David's Bridal version of this but Gemma just is wow. I'm trying on the DB version one more time to make sure but I'm so in love with Gemma.
I am an official Gemma bride. Just went to the flagship store today and tried it on one last time before I put down a deposit. Am so in love with the dress.

I have to admit I saw it in the saks in nyc and I was really disappointed in it. I guess thats because I wasn't carrying it like all you real brides. Curiousity satisfied tho.
@MASPA: bummer. have you tried going to the flagship store? there are a ton of gorgeous dresses there and they'll be able to pin/alter everything so it looks amazing.

Do you ladies who have the dress have any separate pictures of the sequin sash? I didn't even think to try it on with the sash but want to see what it looks like up close.
@mjm2012: no i didnt go, i was only in new york for a day and it was too far from where we were. i think it was my height. i always brought shoes to my appointments and didnt feel like carrying them around all day. Its beautiful on all you ladies, just not me.
Wow what a beautiul dress. It looks like there is even some sparkle in the bottom ruffel portion..? Its stunning love it!!
@mjm2012: I don't have a seperate picture but I am wearing the sash in my photo (I tried on the ivory/blush gown). I am not a sash gal but she ordered one for me at no extra charge (it's proabably built into the cost of my dress lol)
@organizebride11: It has sequence on the bottom called blizzard beading! It's absolutely stunning.
I saw this gown in the store and I only tried it on because my aunt asked me to do it for her. It's SO much better when you try it on!!! Did anyone else have a reaction like this??
@magz88: TOTALLY had the same feeling when I tried it on. I went through the store and had pulled a few things and the girl helping me actually pulled it and it was over. I'm not getting the beading in the skirt so I'm wondering if I should even look at the sash. I'm not a sash girl either but i love how subtle it is.
