I did something I think is foolish today. I changed my mind regarding a dress I ordered and ordered the Divina instead, without anyone in my family ever seeing it on me except for pics.
I had created a Poll on the forum for the Divina or Landyn and the poll was neck and neck, in fact a few liked the Landyn more (maggie) so I ordered the Landyn because it made me look skinnier, not because I really loved the dress. My family went on and on about how skinny I looked so I placed the order on Saturday, then today called and asked them to order the Divina instead in Ivory (a colour I never thought I would even wear).
Now I”m regretting my decision yet again. I’m worried that I don’t want my arms out and I’ll be adding an illusion neckline to it, so my arms/back isn’t as exposed and now I can’t know what it looks like until May when it arrives. I already paid over a thousand on the dress. I feel awfully confused.
Here is me on the Divina, someone please tell me I made the right choice. I did not feel Bridal in the Landyn. I felt overdone, bling at the front and bling at the back. The Davina made me feel pretty but now looking at the frills at the bottom do I really like that much frill???? OMG what is wrong with me.

@maddy41: Oh….don’t you worry! That is stunning on you, I love the volume at the bottom, its delicate and probably creates beautiful depth when you walk!

I didn’t see the other dress, but I think this one looks SO GREAT on you! it hugs your curves perfectly, and it’s nowhere near as ruffle-y as a lot of dresses that are posted here.
If the reason you originally chose the other dress is because it made you look skinny, not because you really liked it, you could always try to eat a little better and see what happens. I personally don’t think you need to lose pounds, and I don’t think skinny brides look any better or worse than curvy brides, but if you would feel more beautiful and confidant looking thinner then you still have plenty of time to lose 5lb or whatever.
long story short: you look great in the Davina. Don’t regret it!

I think it looks great! Don’t let yourself stress. Just cross “find a dress” off you mental list and move on to other wedding decsions. You’ll look amazing on your wedding day!

I have this distorted view of my body. Always have, probably always will. I’ve lost over 40 lbs and kept it off for years but I’m still heavy for my height which is only 5 feet. So when they saw how skinny I looked in the other dress they all loved it, but I hated all the bling on it. It just wasn’t me. Then my mom tells me today, after we ordered the dress that the Landyn did look a bit too much at the back and she did not even recognize the dress the second time around.
Very frustrated at the moment. I also don’t want to be the centre of attention walking down the isle. I feel like women are put under so much pressure to look amazing that day and I’m scared people will judge me in a negative way.
Thanks so much for what you two just said.

Seriously love this dress on you! You look elegant and sexy at the same time.

I don’t know what the other dress looks like, but you look AWESOME in this one!!

@maddy41: you have to live the dress you wear- if the other was not bridal enough for you, you made the right choice!

I think you look good in that dress. I don’t even see the need for an illusion back or sleeves. Your arms look fine. Remember, sometimes if you try to cover something you might actually draw attention to it.
I think you could maybe go for a different belt if that one is not sewn on. I could just see you in narrow one, maybe with just a bit of bling. Then all you need is pair of nice high heels and you’ll look fab!

I think you look gorgeous! The dress is lovely. If I had to change anything about it, it would be the belt. I think the straight lines of the belt are a little too severe for that particular dress.

I preferred the other dress on you but if you feel bridal in this dress that is really ALL THAT MATTERS! You look killer!

I remember your last thread, I’m not sure if I voted or not, but I remember thinking that if you didn’t want to draw attention to your arms the Divinia did that better than the Landyn. The Landyn had blingy cap sleeves that drew the eye while the Divinia just looks slammin all over. I think you definitely made the right decision.

@maddy41: This probably isn’t what you want to hear, but the Divinia is not as flattering.
If there is any way you can change to the Landyn, I would. It makes you look spectacular.
If you don’t like the Landyn, then just cancel your order and keep looking.
The Divinia does nothing for you IMO.

While I preferred the Landyn, I believe brides should always go with their hearts on dresses! If you love the Divina, then it’s the right choice. Your confidence and happiness will shine through!

oh thank you so much – I ordered my dress with a blingy belt not the black one, this was the sample dress they had
