While it’s unfortunate that you don’t like the scent, its not the company’s fault that your country’s mail system prohibits sending perfume.

Unless it was super-expensive (like $ 150+), I personally would just eat the cost of the perfume and use it or give it to my grandmother or something.

@chronicwhimsy:  I’m not from the US so I’m not familiar with their postage restrictions.  If you are unwilling to lie on a customs declaration, then I don’t think there’s anything you can do unfortunately.

Generally when I buy things from overseas that aren’t like clothes or shoes, I check on our postal service’s website to make sure its not a prohibited item. I know this doesn’t help you now, but hopefully other bees won’t face a similar situation.

@chronicwhimsy:  I would be grumpy too. Do you think its a scent your grandmother or mother might like?

Perhaps you could  use it as a “nice gift” for someone? lol That way you’re not totally out. My friends give each other gifts of things they think we’d like that they’re not using/don’t want. It’s wonderful and not tacky IMO!

It’s been a week since you made this post, any chance that they’ve finally responded? I know I’ve sometimes had issues getting customer service people to respond (which is always a shame, b/c aren’t they supposed to be CUSTOMER SERVICE?!? ugh). It’s a shame that it costs so much to send it back. I didn’t read a return policy well either, and ended up getting stuck with a dress. I got a good deal on it, so it wasn’t very expensive but the return shipping was aabout twice the cost of the dress! I ended up posting a photo of it on Facebook and offered it up. A friend who lives nearby was very excited, adn the next time we hung out, she took it off my hands. I told her she didn’t even have to pay me, but she nicely took me out to eat 🙂 I just didn’t want to keep a perfectly fine (new with tags!) dress that didn’t fit. You could try posting it on Facebook (assuming you use it) and see if it gets the interest of anyone
