So these origami pomanders come out to about $1 each. The cost is paper (about 7 sheets of 12″x12″ and few feet of ribbon, plus glue). No styrofoam ball needed.
They take some time to fold the flowers, about 5 minutes per flower and each pomander takes 12 flowers, and about 10 minutes to glue them all together. But I just make them while watching movies, so it doesn’t seem to take long at all.
They will go with the larger topiaries I made earlier to decorate our ceremony space. Each pomander is about 7″ in diameter.
They can sit flat as well or to make mini topiaries:
I made them all with mixed design papers, but maybe I should make some with a single type of paper (?). I’m also debating adding a pearl/bead to the center of each flower.
