i found vertallee on the verge of a minor (major) save the date fiasco. i’ve been working with kat, and she was more than willing to work with us on coming up with a completely custom design. as it turns out, my FI and i ended up designing it ourselves, and kat walked us through the entire process.
i was initially drawn to vertallee because the prices were among the most competitive i’d found, but her samples were PHENOMENAL. i’m a texture girl, and the stock was beautiful and the printing was crisp and clean.
i emailed her an illustrator file, and she returned the proof within a day. it took about 2 weeks to print. there was a snafu mid-way through the printing (for some reason, i thought we were using the standard #10, but we weren’t. my fault — the dimensions were on the invoice and i should’ve caught it. kat offered to reprint the whole job that night at the standard #10 size without charging us.).
i’d recommend vertallee to anyone who needs letterpress — either a custom job or if you need your designs printed. the work is beautiful and they’re fast! they’re on etsy if you want to order samples.
