- Wedding: November 2014
My fiance and I are not very traditional and we wanted to do something interesting for our save the dates. We are planning on doing a video, since I was a wedding videographer for a long time and now work in animation and production. It just makes sense.
However, we are worried about the logistics of sharing it with our invitees. We have a relatively small guest list- about 80, and we are not going to be allowing +1’s unless people are married or we know the person’s date. We were thinking of doing a private vimeo account, or some other video sharing site and sending the link to people we are inviting in a private message on facebook or through email. The problem is, we don’t want people sharing it with others who aren’t invited. Can you bees think of a way around this? Is there a better way to share it with people? Or, has anyone been in this situation before?
I have considered writing a small poem or line to accompany the video- something along the lines of “we have chosen to share this special video with you as we would love to have you share our day. But, please don’t share it with others; it is for your eyes only!” – except much much cuter and well-written (I haven’t given it much thought yet). Does anybody have any ideas?
