I would call Jason at Boston Wedding Films. He is great!

or Meg Simone: She is in NH but does mostly destination work!

You could also try Well Spun Weddings: they have a different business model where the taping is done by local people and then the editing is done by the owner.
I am in the same boat...thinking about a videographer for our wedding this summer, but I'm a little apprehensive of the pricing. Any idea how much they charge? This isn't a *must have* for us, but it would be so nice to have! :) Thanks!
Quality Videography is not a low cost part of a wedding but I think its definitely worth the expense. Its really nice reminder of an oftentimes blurry day! I would expect to spend anywhere from 2500-6000 dollars for various levels of video coverage.
I would highly recommend David Bettencourt. He is based out of Rhode Island but travels to Boston. He is flexible with different pricing options but offers a $1600 option for a highlights video as well as full documentary video of the day. For the $2000 option, you also get coverage in Super 8 film. He also brings a second assistant to help him shoot the day.
We booked Amos from East of Eden a few days before our wedding. Video wasn't a priority for us. We found him on craigslist. He is just getting his start and we were his first wedding. He was with us for 7.5 hours (first look through all the important reception stuff). Amos was not intrusive at all and captured a lot of little moments that we didn't even know had happened. We worked exclusively with Amos, but he and his wife do work as a team.

Check out Michael & Tricia Films. We are about to book them for our August wedding next year. They are amazing, and actually affordable! You don't pay extra for HD video coverage since that's all they do! They are super nice, down to earth, and are willing to work with your budget. Good luck!

Hi Boston Bees! I am looking for a videographer for my October wedding. I live in Boston but am getting married on the Cape, so anyone in either area would be fine. I'm just really concerned with somebody being too intrusive... I don't want to know that we're being taped, if that makes sense, and I'm not interested in having people on the dance floor videotaped either... More like getting ready, ceremony of course, first dance, toasts, and cake cutting. Nothing too "cheesy." Any recommendations? I'd really appreciate it!
