There’s this person. I spoke to him on the phone and he seemed very professional and nice. When I originally submitted the RFQ, he called back within 24 hours and also did a follow-up call. I decided not to do videography but his portfolio seems okay for the rate. His business address is in Santa Ana.

I did a craigslist search and found a few in OC

BUT THEN I put an ad on here and found someone looking to expand their destination wedding portfolio so I ended up paying for their flights to my wedding (less than $1000) in exchange for the shooting of our wedding & etc… I’d look into that option if you can!

check out Raw Fiction Pictures… they have a few different packages, the one we are doing is for all day shooting and a 15-20 minute weddding video, with unlimited edits, and the option for raw footage for $1150 i think… i think they have another package for around $1000… Their sample videos on vimeo look rally good, and they both just graduated from USC film school.

I’m having a family friend videotape our wedding.  My husband is really good at editing and all things computer related.  Worst case sceniro is you get the raw footage now and have someone edit it later like for your 1 year anniversary.

Plus it allows you to give one of your guest a vendor plate which is usually a lot cheaper.  Cool

Hi Bees! Does anybody know any videographers/cinematographers in LA that are similar to Raw Fiction Pictures or Cloud 9 Cinematography? My budget is around $1k. Please advise! Thanks!

I liked raw fiction videos but seems like their prices have gone up already.

@miss mask – have you gotten your video from Matt yet? He seems great and is within budget but I can’t seem to find any reviews on him. If anyone has used him, can you please let me know if you would recommend them? Thanks!

established videography company, usually have set price and don’t mind to lose some customer because they are pretty much booked. your best chance is to look for somebody that is not a beginner but starting to get into the wedding industry. http://vimeo.com/41274752   http://vimeo.com/44655943
