Well Spun Weddings (www.wellspunweddings.com) is exactly what you are looking for! I used them for my wedding and I LOVE my video and watch it all the time. They are very nice and professional and not terribly expensive. On my day there was a mix-up with the directions (not really his fault) and my videographer didn't get to shoot our formal portraits like we had planned, but he was very nice and made it right by staying late to film our exit for free. So they definately work had at making the customer happy. We got our video pretty quickly, just a few weeks after the wedding.
www.emotia.com Ray Pryor's work is excellent! We are using Emotia for our wedding.

We booked them for our wedding and are sooooo super excited!
I'm glad you started this thread, PomPom---I need a videographer, too!
Just stay away from Spectrum Video. Its been almost 3 months since my wedding and he hasn't responded to a single one of my emails to tell me when the video will be ready.
I've heard good things about I Do Films, although haven't worked with them personally.
Tom Hartmann from Blink of An Eye productions. His editing is amazing! We booked him for our wedding in october. You can view samples on his website.
We used StillMotion and HIGHLY recommend them - they were amazing and worth EVERY PENNY I SCRIMPED to get them.
Though I have not worked with them but seen then work on their blogs, websites, others you may want to look at in the Chicagoland area are Delack Media Group and Carbon 14 Films.

Chicago Bees - I'm in the process of looking for videographers and I want to book SOON. Does anyone have any recommendations for edgy, sophisticated videographers? I don't want the traditional minute-by-minute wedding video of yore, but something that is beautifully edited to capture the feel of the day and important moments - both candid and posed. I want it to play like a movie. Any recommendations?! Please share!
THANK YOU in advance!!
