@VADCBride: I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you! I found your post when trying to find some kind of solice for our own wedding videographer nightmare. We hired Joe and Donna Cacicia with Electric Video out of Johnston, RI and while they did show to our wedding and filmed it as agreed - it's been nothing but a nightmare ever since! It took nearly 7 months for us to get a marginally acceptable video after they held it ransom for additional money (on top of the agreed upon amount that was already paid). The saddest part (and the part that I can completely understand your pain) is they completely omitted the beautiful and heartfelt speech my father gave at our reception. My 72 year old father (who I had made a pact with my brother when we were kids that if Dad wasn't there for my wedding, he'd walk me down the aisle...) did make it my wedding and now Ill never be able to revisit his words or emotion, nor will our future children.
When we inquried about this important event being omitted, the company claims they didn't film it when I have photos and video of them filming this very moment. They've cost me more that money, but also lost sleep and countless tears. They continue to email my husband after I specifically requested them to never contact me or my family again.
No one should every have to have such a negative cloud cast over the memory of one of the most important days of their lives. I found some comfort in hearing about your day and hope you find comfort in the good memories of your day too.
Congrats on your recent nuptuals and have a long and happy marriage!
Xoxo.
I'm so sorry that that happened.
Be sure to report this individual to your local Better Business Bureau. It's unlikely that they can help you get a refund but at least you may be able to stop this from happening to another bride.
Kelly Clendenon is a nightmare to deal with. He never showed up to my wedding to shoot, as the contract was signed and deposit was placed... and he never refunded my money. After all the heartache of not having any video taken on my wedding day, the only thing I have left is Kelly's voicemail on my wedding day (below). Thanks Kelly:
I hate douchebag vendors!!!!!!! I should contact him and ask about services and then blow his shit up!

Washington DC girls BEWARE! We hired Kelly Scott Clendenon for videography and he didn't even show up to our ceremony then when he showed up to the reception, claimed he'd been in a car accident and then proceeded to act incoherently and unprofessionally throughout the night. This nightmare culminated when he approached our table while we were eating our wedding cake to demand money from us! Apparently he hadn't read our contract recently so he believed, despite not showing up to the ceremony, that he was entitled to a sum of money which he wasn't until delivery of the video. I told him to talk to our wedding planner to which he replied she was mean to him and he'd rather talk to someone else. Eventually my father had to kick him out of the reception. It's been over a month and we have not heard from him, we sent a certified letter which could not be delivered so we're pretty sure he's skipped town with our wedding video and $500! He's a con artist, crook, and liar. I'm heartbroken that the memories of our day have been stolen from us by him. My family gave the most beautiful toasts and we'll never be able to hear them again or show them to our kids. I guess the lesson is to spend the money to hire a reputable vendor or risk losing the precious memories.
