hi miss khlee,

google greengelato.  the first link that pops up should be her knot bio.  her bio is very popular and outlines her entire experience with the villa.  i heard that the costs are near $5000 now so they have changed their costs.  apparently, the pros are beautiful location, cheap catering.  the cons are a disorganized site coordinator and hidden fees such as an ice fee.  but overall, everyone seems to love it there!

We are having our wedding at the Villa this fall.  The venue rental is $4500.  (not sure if it went up)  Cost per person including all the rentals run anywhere from $50/person to $80/person (this includes the cake) depending on what you do with food.  I have not had any issues with hidden charges as Sandy has been very upfront with all my questions on cost.  We chose this venue for several reasons.  A few being:  only event for the day, use of the venue all day, no traveling required from ceremony to reception, BYOB and we are allowed to bring in outside appetizers (ethinic food).

If you are trying to contact the site coordinator, she is out of town until 03/10.  I thought it was very considerate of her to call all her brides to let them know that she will be out of town the next couple of weeks.  There is a wedding scheduled for 03/15.  The site is open for people to roam from 12-ish to 1-ish.  I have visted the site on many occassions.  It is very interesting to see the different event set-ups.

Last thing, party has to end at 9:30pm due to the close proximity of residences.

Beautiful Venue, but this place is not meant to have weddings. I had my wedding there (35K Wedding) this past summer, and they called the police on my wedding. I ended up with 75 guests, 50% of which were older adults, not even dancing. My DJ turned down his music even though there were already no more then 5 people on the dance floor because you are required to close all the doors and it’s like a sweatbox in there. They will tell you that you can have the doors open all the way until the final meeting when they throw it on you, 5 days before your wedding that they have to be closed. BY 6PM, the police had been called on us 4 times for just the microphone we did our vows into. We had an acoustic guitarist play for our ceremony, which we got approval on by the Venue Coordinator….then we LOST our deposit. (Which we know they never intended to give back anyway) They said it was considered AMPLIFIED, although we have our wedding video to prove it was just acoustic. The police came up to me as a BRIDE and I quote this said to me on my wedding night “The venue can’t control you and they have called us out here to make everyone leave, if you don’t get everyone out of here in 5 mins. we will raid this place”. As a bride this is not what you want to hear??? ESPECIALLY after paying 5K for a venue that you have a signed contract with until 10PM. AND after you have spent thousands of dollars on your wedding and have family from all over, including internatioal guests being kicked out at 830PM. It was not even past the city curfew. It was embarassing and disheartning. I would suggest booking your wedding elsewhere….there are too many shady things going on with this venue and the people involved. TRUST ME…they will make it all sound nice until you sign the contract and pay the deposit. Everything comes out the last 2 weeks before. WHEN THEY KNOW YOU ARE LOCKED IN! I am really upset, but I didn’t let it ruin my wedding…..I just want other people to know my experience so they can make the best choice for them, knowing what past Brides and their families have had to endure.
