I was wondering how the Villa compares against Castle Green?  Who has the better caterer (Santa Anita Gardens Catering vs. Castle Catering), ambiance, and service?  I know Castle Green allows outdors music and dancing and allows party to extend til 11:30pm.  Not sure if the Villa allows music and dancing outdoors and know that party must end at 9:30pm.  What are your thoughts.

I don't really know much about either venue, but I saw the villa in one of the videos on my videographer's site, and thought it was simply gorgeous. If you are looking for a great videographer, he is the best!! daniel from DvArtistry...

According to knottie bios (you might want to check those out, they are very informative), the Villa's food was good, but nothing special.  The common complaint was that the Villa's coordinator is a pain and unresponsive.

I didn't look at Castle Green, but I seem to recall that you can bring in your own caterer.

cvanavi - The Villa and Castle Green are two vastly different venues - it all depends on the kind of wedding you want to have.  I have experience with both (and chose one over the other as my venue). PM if you would like my take.

Having been on the knot boards for some time, I don't believe that there were any true complaints that the coordinator was a "pain" or "unresponsive". She may not use email, but she was never off-putting.

We had our wedding at the Castle Green and enjoyed the experience immensely.  The venue is gorgeous, which means our pics are beautiful if for no other reason than the surroundings.  They have about 5 different caterers you can pick from, which range in pricing, or you can bring in an outside caterer for an additional fee.  The only hiccup we had was with the scheduled date and time for our rehearsal, but it all worked out without too much heartburn.

We are so glad we chose the historic Castle Green.
