We are renting a 1969 checker cab for our nyc wedding. The man I am working with who works for the company we are renting through, Film Cars, has been extrordinarily helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. The price was great too....comperable to a basic 6 passanger limo. Check out their website, http://www.filmcars.com/index.htm, as they have a wide variety of vintage cars for rental, many of which fit your needs of a black classic car.

@liartist: Ugh! Unforunately they have a car show in North Carolina so all ther drivers are unavailable. Peter was unbelievably nice though! Bummer.

I am on the hunt for a black classic car (1950-1960s) for my wedding in May. Has anyone had luck with a local car club or reasonable car hire? Any help greatly appreciated!!
