Mine’s an heirloom, ~100 years old and has pretty unique setting:

ETA: oh, I guess this doesn’t much help if you’re trying to find one to buy.  Sorry!

Everyone is always asking if mine is an heirloom, so I guess that means it looks vintage! 🙂 It’s a 1 carat equivalent OEC Amora moissanite in a setting from an Etsy shop (Eternal Elements). I don’t have a lot of great pics uploaded that do the setting justice, but hopefully they are still helpful!

Ah sorry…I was skimming, mine doesn’t show tapered baguettes at all so it’s probably not helpful! I am new and got overly excited at a chance to post my ring, haha.

@fauxfaux:  I don’t think there’s a light issue. I can’t be sure because I don’t have another one to compare to….but my ring sparkles a ton, and also glows in certain lighting, etc. The crown bezel is relatively “open” on the sides, which might be why the light getting in doesn’t seem to be an issue.

As an aside, I don’t know if you already decided what cut moissanite you want, but if you’re into a vintage look, I’d definitely recommend considering an OEC. My friend has a round brilliant, and it’s also beautiful, but the OEC has a very different and more “classic” kind of look. You probably can’t go wrong with any of the cuts though!

@PurseFreak82:  Thank you!! Your’s is beautiful too!

@fauxfaux:  No problem! I’m not very ring-savvy, but if you have any other questions I’d be happy to do my best to try and answer them. 🙂
