They are just beautiful, there’s something so intriguing about antique rings, the story behind yours is incredibly touching. I hope time flies before you get them 🙂

No vitage rings…

But I will say that Bridal Set is GORGEOUS…

Lucky that someone managed to find the broken floor board… more often than not such things are missed in a house, and only to be discovered years / decades later by one of the new owners

@This Time Round:  Shortly after my husband and I purchased our house, my brother in law discovered a videotape on top of some ductwork in the basement. Weird, right? Guess what was on that tape. We had met the owners of our house on two occasions and they were younger in the video, but totally recognizable.

OP, his grandmother’s rings are beautiful. Congratulations!

Those are gorgeous rings, congrats!

My e-ring was my great-grandmother’s and then my grandmother’s, and I also wear my grandmother’s wedding band now that I’m all married up 🙂 Love them so much

Here is my engagement ring. It belonged to my fiance’s great grandMother. She died this past yr at age 94 so I would guess the ring is 70 or so years old.

@misslineman:  Yeah you’ll definitely want to take it to a jeweler and get it appraised and insured. The jeweler should be able to tell you if any work needs done on the ring. We had the prongs rebuilt on mine because they were fairly worn (100+ years old).
