I am having some trouble coming up with table name ideas, except for maybe selecting musicians, movie stars, or cars from various decades? I dunno....
I thought these table numbers were awesome and had a great vintage feel:
We're printing out the names to be framed in an older frame (that has yet to be found).
We're themeing the tables with dancers of the 20s-40s (Frankie Manning, Chaz Young, Norma Miller, Dean Collins, Jean Veloz, "Big B", Shortie George Snowden, etc) since we ourselves are dancers and we're having a 19-piece band.
Movies, musicians, etc are all great table themes.
@knubbsywubbsy - Great idea for the table names, since you're dancers! Have you searched at antique malls or thrift stores for the frames?
@melisslp: We've started collecting frames and we have almost enough 8x10 and 5x7 for the tables we just haven't found one large enough for the assignments- we have an easel from the venue to use so we need to accomidate that as well.
We're driving up to Dallas in a few weeks so I want to stop by the design district near the AA center since they seemed to have a lot antique shops.
@Knubbsy-Wubbsy - Don't forget that you could check out Craigslist and flea markets. If push comes to shove, you could probably buy a large frame at Michaels or another place and distress it if needed. Here's a link on how to do it:

I love the windows idea! :) But I would want to be able to erase the names so I could use them as decor for my house!!!
I'm using antique shutters to display my escort cards. I actually just posted pictures under the DIY board.
I haven't decided what I am doing for table names/numbers yet.
@kperry3 - I think you could use liquid chalk markers/pens, which would erase. Then you could re-use the frames for decor'! 
@kperry3: just so you know, permanent marker comes off with rubbing alcohol... or if you write over it with wipe off marker. :) Easily reusable!
I will be doing something very similar to this. The escort cards will also have mason jars stamped onto them. I will stamp the table number onto vintage clothespins.

Can anyone show me some examples of what they did for a wedding with a Vintage theme for both their Seating Charts and Table Names??
