You could make invitations in the shape of luggage tags, use vintage postcard images, or make up invites that look like plane tickets. If you have access to a craft or scrapbook store, you can make any paper item look "antique" by bending and crinkling it a little, and using a light brown ink pad and a stipple brush, lightly brush the brown ink around the edges.
Over on Etsy.com they have a ton of vintage travel themed invites made to look like passports and boarding passes. Those might give you an idea to start with.

Hi! I already know we are having ours at the Country Club. MY FMIL and FFIL picked out everything. My FFL is in the hospital for major surgery and I want to help my future mother in law out. She asked me if I wanted a theme, I told her I like travel theme or we don't have to have one. She really liked the travel theme and asked me if I knew what to do with invites. We had letterpress invites made and I don't think she wants to spend exactly that much. PLUS she has much bigger things to worry about right now and I need to help her out. Do you have any ideas for a vintage travel theme rehearsal dinner for invites? All ideas are appreciated!!! (Even if it's just ideas for the travel theme- not invites!) Thanks so much!!
