Here’s a photo of my engagement ring. I’m so excited! I love antiques. I plan on wearing a vintage style dress and our wedding is being held in a lofted antique wherehouse in Chicago, so this all ties in so well together. Anyone else have vintage as well? I’d love to see photos!

@angelinamichael: Beautiful ring! I can’t wait to see your recap photos, I’m a sucker for vintage.
Here’s a pic of my ring and Mr.ND’s band. Mine was my great-great aunt’s (mid 40s, we think) and his was his grandpa’s (50s).

I love how your ring looks like a flower. This isn’t MY wedding ring but it was someone’s wedding ring… My cousin found this hidden in a dresser that she got from a thrift store and she gave it to me because it didn’t fit her. Inside the band it says “EBW to BH 7-21-1937” I think it’s so romantic that it was given in the height of the Great Depression. It’s 14k-18k with three small diamonds. It looks like there used to be some detail work on the sides that just got worn down with wear.

It’s beautiful!! You might have the same problem I did with my somewhat odd-shaped engagement ring – finding a band to fit with it that was also antique!
I did not want to buy ANY new diamonds – felt really strongly about this – so we did quite a bit of hunting – but finally found one that fit like they were mean’t to go together!
The e-ring was my great grandmothers from 1926, and the band was from an estate auction and is from the mid 40s:
